Fountain has spent the past month in the studio with producer
Ken
Lewis, recording the full-length followup to the band's 2006 Self-Titled
EP. Listen to the track "Break" on Triple R's MySpace
page to hear a taste of the record - it's sounding incredible! The
album is tentatively titled And it Matters, with a national
release date of April 24th.
In the meantime, check out
the band live Friday February 9th at
NYC's famed Knitting
Factory, as Skidmore Fountain prepares for a national
Spring/Summer tour (details following soon...).

2007 begins with a bang for the mighty and powerful Born Again
Floozies. National radioplay on Commercial Specialty Radio,
reviews all over the place (Billings Gazette in Montana coming up, Americana
UK, Hanx.net in
the Netherlands), live concert filmed for PBS' Rock
N Roll Safari. The Floozies are back in the studio this
February with Steve
Albini, recording the followup to Novelties,
Addenda, and Ephemera.
Currently the best rock
band in the universe featuring guitar, tuba, and two tap
dancers!

4/14/06 The Born
Again Floozies sign with Triple R Records. The band's
five-song EP Novelties, Addenda and Ephemera, recorded and
mixed by Steve Albini
(Nirvana, Pixies) is due June 2006. A
full-length LP, Seven Deadly Sinners, is due January 2007,
also recorded by Albini and mastered at Abbey
Road. You've
never seen or heard anything like the Floozies: the rhythm section
is two tap dancers and a tuba, the singer plays guitar the way most
people play the piano. It's a brilliantly surreal performance.

3/12/06 The latest addition to the Triple R roster is Skidmore
Fountain, from Brooklyn NYC. Skidmore has been making
quite a name for themselves in the Big Apple, and are in the process
of recording an EP for June 2006 release and LP for January 2007
release with industry heavyweight Ken
Lewis (Kanye West, Beastie Boys). It's an incredible Indie
Electro sound, one that Triple R practically guarantees you'll dig! |
